While working in an engine reconditioning machine shop, Luke Clayton rebuilt the engine of his first Alfa Romeo and was staggered by the quality of engine components compared to more mundane Australian, American and Japanese based engines. Since then, while working mostly in automotive fields, Luke has never been far away Alfa Romeos and Italian vehicles. Having owned over 30 and worked on many hundreds across the country over the years. With the attitude that you never stop learning and honing your skills, Luke is always searching for that something to give his work the edge.
Luke Clayton has many years experience in various technical roles, from beginnings as a Fitter and Machinist in the mining and then power generation industry, as a Specialist Automotive Engine Reconditioning Machinist, a Motor Mechanic (Alfa Romeo and other European marques), a Research and Development Engineer/Technician with the Australian National University and the Australian Institute of Sport, and then also as a Vehicle Certification Engineer.
